Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By using Alion you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use Alion.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Alion. Alion is open to everyone; verifying a .edu email is optional and only unlocks student pricing on Alion Pro and campus features. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for all activity under your account.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post (profile, photos, hosted events, messages). By posting, you grant Alion a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and display that content as needed to operate the app. You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to post it. Note: profile and event photos are stored publicly (see Privacy Policy §3).
4. Acceptable use & community guidelines
You agree not to: harass, threaten, or abuse others; post illegal, hateful, or sexually exploitative content; impersonate others; spam; scrape or attack the service; or host events that promote illegal activity. Alcohol-related events are restricted to users 21+.
5. Reporting and blocking
Alion provides tools to block other users and report abusive users or content. Block and report are available from any user’s profile, from direct messages, and (report) from event listings. We review reports and may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
6. Events & tickets
Event listings are aggregated from third-party sources and may be inaccurate or change; Alion does not control third-party events or venues. Ticket purchases and real-world event attendance are between you, the host, and any ticketing provider. Alion is not responsible for what happens at in-person events or meetups. Attend at your own risk and use good judgment when meeting people from the app.
7. Alion Pro
Alion Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple In-App Purchase. Pricing and renewal terms are shown before purchase and managed through your Apple Account settings. Event tickets may be sold separately via Stripe.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
Alion is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alion and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages; for third-party content, events, or services; or for interactions between users, whether online or in person. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Missouri, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
11. Changes & contact
